The name PLATFORM35 is, for various reasons, important to me. IT has also become a bit of a brand name. I’ve used it for forum usernames, digital market seller names, social bookmarking identities, and most recently, on Twitter. It was at Twitter that I realized the name/word “platform” is not very sociable – it sounds rather impersonal, even technical.
So I closed my eyes, pondered for a while, ran a dozen strange names though my head, and then typed in an open Google Doc: CITIZEN35.
CITIZEN35 will thus, from hence forward, be the social face of PLATFORM35. It is how he will introduce himself at meetings, braais (BBQs) and cocktail parties. PLATFORM35 is the house, the HQ, the “office”. CITIZEN35 is the man in the house.
Fortunately Twitter makes it very easy for a platform to become more sociable. Check out my tweets at http://twitter.com/citizen35.
